A power amplifier drives passive speakers — the ones without an amplifier inside — in venues, karaoke rooms and installed sound systems. Our range: Wharfedale Pro power amplifiers and JBL karaoke amplifiers.
How to choose:
- Match the speakers: the amplifier's power per channel at your speakers' impedance (for example 8 Ω or 4 Ω) should suit the speakers' rated power — both spec sheets give the figures.
- PA or karaoke: the Wharfedale Pro XR 2500 and XR 3500 are power amplifiers for PA speakers; the JBL RMA 220A and RMA 330A are karaoke amplifiers with microphone inputs and vocal effects.
- Channels and installation: count the speakers or zones you need to drive, and leave space for air around the amplifier in a rack or cabinet.
