DJ equipment

A DJ controller — in Vietnam simply a "bàn DJ" — is the first piece of gear most DJs buy. This category gathers the equipment our students learn on: controllers, all-in-one systems and turntables from Pioneer DJ, AlphaTheta, Denon DJ and Numark, for beginners practising at home and for DJs who already play out.

How to choose:

• Channels: two are enough to learn to mix (Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX2, DDJ-FLX4); four-channel controllers such as the DDJ-FLX6 and AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 leave room for layering and more decks.
• Software: the DDJ-FLX4 works with rekordbox and Serato DJ Lite; the DDJ-REV1 is a scratch-style controller for Serato DJ Lite. rekordbox also prepares the USB sticks club CDJs play from, so a rekordbox controller makes the step to the booth easier.
• Laptop or standalone: all-in-one systems such as the XDJ-RR play straight from USB without a computer, and the Denon DJ Prime Go+ and Numark Mixstream Pro Go run on a built-in battery.
• Turntables: the Pioneer DJ PLX-1000 is for DJs who play vinyl and scratch.

Prices: every product card shows its current price in VND, and the filters sort by price and brand, so you see at once what fits your budget.

Not sure yet? Try before you buy: book an hour in our DJ practice rooms on XDJ, CDJ and turntable setups, or rent DJ gear for a party. Complete beginners can start with Level 1 — Basic DJ, which begins on a controller.
