1.What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website keeps in your browser so it remembers something between pages or visits. Browser storage (local and session storage) works the same way but stays in your browser and is never sent to our server by itself. This policy adds detail to our Privacy policy: what we do with personal data is described there.
2.Cookies the site needs
These work without asking, because the site cannot do what you ask without them. They are set by museinc.com.vn itself and never shared.
- locale: the language you chose (1 year).
- site-theme: light or dark look (1 year).
- site-consent: your answer in the cookie banner (1 year).
- session: keeps you signed in to your student or staff account (30 days, only after you sign in).
- signin-step: the second step of signing in (a few minutes).
- portal-ws, pwlink, site-preview, site-notrack: used only by the school's staff in their account (from minutes to 180 days).
3.Where your visit came from
site-origin (ours, 90 days) remembers how you first reached the site and the last campaign you came from: the ad or campaign tags of the link, the website that sent you and the first page you opened. When you send an enquiry, a booking request or an order, this is saved with it so we know which of our channels work. It holds no name or contact details and is never sent to another company.
4.Statistics: Google Analytics
For every visitor, Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It sets its own cookies _ga and _ga_<id> (up to 2 years) and receives your browser's technical data and internet address from Google's servers. We never send it your name, phone number or messages.
5.Advertising: only if you accept
Only after you press Accept in the cookie banner:
- Google Ads: _gcl_au and other _gcl_ cookies (90 days) count which of our ads lead to an enquiry, a booking or an order.
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram): _fbp and _fbc (90 days) do the same for our Facebook and Instagram ads.
- Microsoft Clarity, if we turn it on: _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day) show how pages are used.
If you press Decline, these stay off, and the cookies are removed if they were set before.
6.Videos, music players and the map
Some pages show content from other services. YouTube videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play. Vimeo and TikTok videos, SoundCloud and Mixcloud players may set their own cookies when they load or play. The school map loads its picture tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives your internet address but sets no cookies. Their own policies apply to what these services do.
7.Browser storage
- The store keeps your cart in your browser's local storage until you order or empty it.
- For the length of a visit, session storage notes that the cookie banner and the visit were already counted, so they are not counted twice. These anonymous counters hold numbers only, nothing about you.
8.Changing your choice
Press Cookie settings at the bottom of any page: the banner appears again and the advertising cookies are removed until you answer. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings; the site then forgets your language, theme and sign-in.
