J-shaped array design

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII uses 10 small 3.81 cm drivers. These drivers are arranged in a J-shaped array that achieves 30° of vertical coverage across a 170° horizontal range. This special design lets the Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII reproduce sound that is true to life, clear and consistent even at a distance.

A quality subwoofer

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII has a subwoofer driver of up to 30.48 cm in a very compact size. It uses Yamaha's Twisted Flare Port™ technology, which effectively reduces the port noise that is a common flaw of bass-reflex subwoofers. Thanks to this signature technology, the speaker delivers deep, powerful bass that goes low without distortion.

1100W amplifier

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII uses an 1100W Class-D amplifier module that can produce an impressive 125 dB SPL from a very compact design. Digital mixer with flexible inputs

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII uses a 5-channel digital mixer with three mono mic/line input channels and a stereo input. You can plug in electro-acoustic guitars and other instruments through two of the mono input channels, which are equipped with Hi-Z connections. The speaker also offers 1/8-inch mini-jack and phone-jack stereo inputs and Bluetooth, taking sources from instruments to CD players, PCs and smartphones.

Professional control with a single knob

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII has plenty of convenient sound-shaping features. It has a 1-knob EQ for setting a range of EQ bands, standard SPX reverb technology and a "Mode" control for master output compression settings suited to applications such as "Speech" or "Music". Best of all, each of these can be set with a single knob, which is very quick and convenient.

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII also lets you set up an FC5 footswitch for on/off switching.

• 1. Standard SPX digital reverb: gives you four types of SPX reverb, suited to vocals and acoustic instruments. Turn the knob to change the reverb type and time, then apply just the right high-definition effect to each channel.
• 2. 1-knob channel EQ: turn left to cut unwanted low frequencies for speech, or turn right to emphasise the lows and highs for a full-range performance. This innovative EQ lets you dial in the perfect sound with one simple knob.
• 3. Master output: multiband compression adjusts the compression settings, optimised for different kinds of applications. Simply choose MUSIC, SPEECH or CLUB to quickly get the best setting for your environment or venue.

Priority Ducker

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII has a "Priority Ducker" function that can be controlled from the STAGEPAS Controller app or switched on/off directly. It is a great help when you speak in front of a crowd with background music playing. The Priority Ducker automatically gives the microphone priority over other sound sources; when you stop talking, the other sources return to their original level. It is very convenient, and you can also set how much the other sources are lowered.

STAGEPAS Controller

The Yamaha Stagepas 1K mkII can be controlled remotely with the STAGEPAS Controller app. The app lets you adjust volume and the 1-knob EQ or 4-band PEQ over Bluetooth. You can also save adjusted settings for particular songs or applications, keeping your performance consistent.
