Description

The Studiomaster DIRECT121 is a self-powered column PA system: a slim array of six 3-inch mid-range drivers and a 1-inch compression driver standing on a 12-inch bass-reflex subwoofer, which houses the Class-D amplifier, a 4-channel mixer and the DSP. The column plugs straight into the subwoofer through built-in contacts, so the system goes up in seconds without speaker cables.

For a DJ, the controller or mixer output goes into the RCA pair or a line input, the DJ preset is the starting point for the sound, and the SUB LEVEL knob balances column against subwoofer. A microphone on channel 1 or 2 covers announcements and speeches, while the XLR link and mix outputs pass the signal to a second system or a recorder. Studiomaster names receptions, small band performances, conferences and speech reinforcement among its uses.

The height-adjusting column lifts the array above a standing audience and can be left out when people are seated. The long digital delay is there for a second system placed further back in a long room.
