Description
The JBL IRX ONE is a mains-powered column PA with a three-channel mixer and Bluetooth 5.0 built in. JBL made it for teachers, presenters, hotels, places of worship and solo musicians who want clear speech and music without bringing a separate mixer.
Highlights
- Six 2″ tweeters in a C-shaped array above an 8″ bass-reflex woofer; 1,300 W peak and 118 dB peak SPL.
- Frequency range 40 Hz–20 kHz (−10 dB) and a wide 160° × 80° coverage pattern.
- Three-channel mixer: two XLR combo mic/line inputs with 48 V phantom power, a 6.35 mm Hi-Z input and Bluetooth streaming.
- dbx automatic feedback suppression, five EQ presets, bass and treble, and Soundcraft ducking that lowers music when speech is detected.
- The speaker adjusts its tuning to the number of column spacers fitted.
- Balanced 6.35 mm mix output for passing the signal to another speaker.
In your setup
The spacers and the array cabinet slot into the back of the base, so the 15.5 kg system goes in one hand and assembles quickly. In a small DJ setup, a controller or mixer connects to one combo input at line level, the other combo input takes the host's microphone, and background music can come from a phone over Bluetooth. When the room needs more coverage, the mix output sends the same signal to another powered speaker. The IRX ONE runs from 100–120 V or 220–240 V mains.
