Description
The JBL 306P MKII is a powered studio monitor with a 6.5-inch woofer, for home studios, producers and DJs who need an accurate reference on the desk. Each speaker has its own amplifiers for woofer and tweeter, so all it needs is a signal cable and mains power.
Highlights
- 165 mm woofer and 25 mm soft dome tweeter, each with a dedicated 56 W Class D amplifier.
- JBL's patented Image Control Waveguide for a broad sweet spot and detailed stereo imaging.
- 47 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), extending to 39 Hz at −10 dB; 110 dB peak SPL.
- Patented Slip Stream low-frequency port.
- Boundary EQ and HF Trim switches to adapt the sound to the room and placement.
- Listed by JBL as suitable for use near magnetically sensitive equipment.
In your setup
Connect the 306P MKII to an audio interface, mixer or DJ mixer with balanced XLR or ¼″ TRS cables, and set the input switch to +4 dBu or −10 dBV to match the source. Near a wall or on a desk, Boundary EQ lowers the bass around 50 Hz, and HF Trim moves the top end by 2 dB either way. The power supply accepts 100 – 240 V, so it runs on Vietnamese mains without a converter.
