Description
The Pioneer DJ DM-50D-BT is a pair of 5-inch active monitors for DJs and producers working at home. A rear switch changes the voicing between a DJ mode and a flat Production mode, and Bluetooth sits alongside balanced TRS and unbalanced RCA and mini-jack inputs.

In your setup
The rear panel takes a balanced 6.35 mm TRS pair, an RCA pair and a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack, so a mixer, DJ controller, audio interface and phone can stay connected together. Their signals are mixed, so set each source level separately. The volume knob and a 3.5 mm headphone output that mutes the speakers are on the front. Place the speakers at ear level, angled about 30° inwards, with at least 15 cm of space above, behind and at each side. After about 20 minutes of silence they enter standby.
