Yamaha DM7 Compact mixer: design

Many advanced functions

The channel strip of the Yamaha DM7 Compact is packed with advanced functions for varied and creative sound. It inherits the EQ of the RIVAGE PM and adds a FET Limiter and Diode Bridge Compressor for better control over dynamics.

The new "History" function makes it easy to change the current detector and compressor, together with the unique "Mix Balance" blending capability. The flexibility to change the order of the EQ and Dynamics 2 also opens up more creative possibilities.

Dan Dugan automatic mixer

The Yamaha DM7 Compact has a built-in Dan Dugan automatic mixer, letting you make the most of automatic mixing on up to 64 channels in the channel strip for a natural sound without extra EQ RACK processing.

A wide range of plug-ins and effects

It comes with a varied set of plug-ins, including VCM models of the Portico 5033 equalizer and the Portico 5043 compressor/limiter, developed together with Rupert Neve Designs.

There are also plug-ins developed in-house by Yamaha, including DaNSe noise suppression and Dynamic EQ. The FX RACK offers 43 different effects, including new ones such as REV HD and REV R3, adding richness and depth to the sound.

The Yamaha DM7 Compact is a versatile mixer with built-in Dante, simple operation and robust build. With 24 + 4 faders and 2 x 12” + 1 x 7” multi-touch screens, plus an optional RK1 rack kit, it suits many different applications.
