Description
The Yamaha DM3 is a compact 22-channel digital mixer with a 9″ multi-touch screen and Dante audio networking built in. At 6.5 kg it brings digital mixing, multitrack recording and streaming tools to small venues, touring acts and event crews who are short on space.
Highlights
- 16 mic/line inputs (12 XLR + 4 XLR/TRS combo) and 8 XLR outputs, processing at 96 kHz with under 1.3 ms latency.
- 6 mix buses, 2 matrices, a stereo bus and two effects processors with 18 effect types, including REV HD and REV R3.
- Dante on two etherCON ports (primary/secondary), matched by Yamaha to its Tio1608-D stage box.
- 18-in/18-out recording and playback with a computer over USB, plus 2-track recording to a USB drive.
- QuickPro Presets (more than 200 input presets), GainFinder, 1-knob COMP and 1-knob EQ for quick setup.
- Remote control through DM3 Editor, DM3 StageMix and MonitorMix; OSC over Ethernet and MIDI over USB.
In your setup
Plug mics and instruments into the rear inputs, run mains and monitor wedges from the XLR outputs, and adjust the mix from anywhere in the room with StageMix on a tablet. For larger systems, Dante brings in extra inputs from a stage box or shares audio with a second console or a recording computer (Dante Virtual Soundcard is sold separately). The matrices let you build a separate mix for a live stream, and DAW Remote turns the faders into a controller for your recording software. The optional RK-DM3 kit mounts the console in a rack.
