Design of the Yamaha DM3 Standard
The DM3 Standard has a simple, compact design: it measures 320 mm × 140 mm × 455 mm (WxHxD) and weighs just 6.5 kg. It saves space and makes getting to gigs easy. The chassis is extremely solid, so the mixer keeps working reliably even in harsh environments.
A 9-inch touch screen and a single rotary encoder control almost every function of the mixer, making it as easy to use as a smartphone.
QuickPro Presets
QuickPro Presets are the result of a collaboration between Yamaha's R&D team and leading manufacturers such as Audio-Technica, FitEar, Sennheiser, Shure, Ultimate Ears and Westone Laboratories, and are optimised for a wide range of microphones and output devices.
The software is easy to use, even for less experienced users. More than 200 presets for input channels, from vocals to drum kits, have all been fine-tuned with a wide range of real microphones and instruments.
For the output channels, presets have been developed for many speaker and monitor systems, such as Ultimate Ears, with several variations to suit different environments and room sizes. Even when time is short, you can save settings built from the presets or store them as additional presets of your own.
Versatile Scene Presets
The Scene Presets built into the DM3 Standard make mixing quicker and easier. The presets speed up setup and leave you more time for fine-tuning and rehearsal.
Professional livestreaming made easy
The Yamaha DM3 Standard meets the demanding technical requirements of livestreaming, with USB connectivity that lets you go live straight away. A streamlined set of factory presets keeps the stream running smoothly and trouble-free, and the compact design is a real advantage when the mixer shares a desk with other audio gear.
A complete streaming feature set
The Yamaha DM3 Standard packs everything you need for livestreaming into a compact design, including multiple analogue I/O ports and USB, so you can bring audio in and send the finished mix straight to a computer running your streaming software. Stereo and matrix routing let you create separate mixes for the room and for the stream.
Comprehensive recording and editing
The DM3 Standard also covers all your live recording and home editing needs. The DAW Remote function lets you control mixing and recording remotely from different devices, so you can work from anywhere.
Recorded performances can be stored directly on a USB flash drive, on a PC connected via USB to HOST, or on a separate Dante-compatible device, and edited with the bundled Cubase AI software or the DAW of your choice.
DAW Remote streamlines music production
The DM3 Standard can connect to a DAW to adjust levels, start and stop playback and more using its faders and physical controls, for smoother operation and sound adjustment. The Yamaha DM3 Standard supports many DAW packages and comes with Cubase AI. To switch to DAW Remote Mode, press USER DEFINED KEYS 1 and 2 at the same time.
Precise control of monitor levels
The DM3 lets you control monitor levels with the faders. Access is simple and direct, so checking the mix balance is smoother and more precise. You can also use the custom fader function to assign monitor level control for smoother, more accurate mixes, or use the User Defined Keys to adjust individual volumes by switching sources.
Bundled Cubase AI software
The mixer also comes with Cubase AI, available for download from Steinberg. Cubase AI is one of today's leading advanced and comprehensive DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) tools. With Cubase AI you get high-quality tools and features for music production, built on the core technology and user interface of Cubase, which is highly regarded worldwide.
Versatile connectivity
The Yamaha DM3 Standard has multiple analogue I/O ports and USB, so you can bring in audio from many different sources and send the finished mix directly to a computer running your livestreaming software.
