Description
The Yamaha MG10XUF is a 10-channel analog mixer from the MG XU line that uses faders for channel levels and adds a built-in USB audio interface. It suits small live shows, events, rehearsal rooms and home recording, anywhere you want hands-on faders and a simple way to get your mix into a computer or iPad.
Highlights
- Four mono mic/line channels with Yamaha D-PRE class-A preamps, a 26 dB PAD, an 80 Hz high-pass filter and a 1-knob compressor.
- Three stereo line channels; channels 5/6 and 7/8 also accept RCA plugs.
- 3-band EQ (±15 dB) on the mono channels and SPX effects with 24 programs, plus a footswitch jack for a Yamaha FC5.
- USB Audio Class 2.0 interface, 2 in / 2 out at up to 24-bit/192 kHz.
- Channel faders, a stereo master fader and PFL switches to check any channel in headphones.
- +48 V phantom power for condenser microphones and a metal chassis.
In your setup
Microphones and instruments go into the four combo XLR/TRS inputs, while keyboards, a media player or a DJ controller fit the stereo line channels. Powered speakers connect to the balanced XLR Stereo Out, and the Monitor Out jacks feed an operator monitor. Over USB the mixer works with a Mac or PC (a Cubase AI download is included) and, through Apple's camera adapter, with an iPad; Yamaha's MG Rec & Play app records to and plays back from an iPhone or iPad. Channels 9/10 can switch to the computer's playback.
