Description
The Studiomaster TRX15S is a passive 15″ subwoofer from the TRX series. It packs a 15″ woofer with a 100 mm voice coil into a 479 × 581 × 548 mm MDF cabinet, smaller and lighter than the 18″ TRX18S (35.2 kg against 47.5 kg). Studiomaster positions the series for bars, coffee bars, clubs and small to medium stages, with an external amplifier doing the driving.

In your setup
Feed the TRX15S from an amplifier channel that is rated for 8 Ω and handles its 600 W RMS, with a crossover or DSP in front that sends only the low frequencies to the sub; Studiomaster gives no internal crossover for this model. On top, the passive TRX full-range cabinets of the same series complete the rig, while the TRX15SA is the active 15″ alternative if you would rather not use a separate amplifier. According to the TRX manual, installing or moving the cabinet is a job for at least two people.
