Description
The Yamaha DXR10mkII is a compact powered PA speaker that pairs a 10-inch woofer with a 1-inch-throat compression driver, each fed by its own Class-D amplifier for 1,100 W of dynamic power in total. It is built for bands, DJs, rental companies and venues that want one cabinet able to serve as a main speaker, a floor wedge or the top of a small system with a subwoofer.

On stage it works as a floor wedge at a 50° angle, and the MONITOR setting of D-CONTOUR holds back the low end that tends to boom when a speaker sits on the floor. Up on a pole, the socket can tilt the box 7° down towards the audience. Two units joined through LINK OUT give a stereo or mono pair driven from the inputs of the first one, and next to a subwoofer such as Yamaha's DXS series the high-pass filter takes the deep bass off the top box.
In a DJ booth or a small bar, the onboard mixer lets a DJ controller and a microphone plug straight into the speaker without a separate desk. For fixed installation Yamaha offers the UB-DXR10 U-bracket and the SPCVR-1001 cover as options.
