Description
The Studiomaster Vortex 12A sits in the middle of the Vortex active range. Its 12″ coaxial driver places the 1″ throat compression driver in the centre of the woofer, so lows and highs come from the same point, and a 1,400 W peak two-channel amplifier with a 24-bit DSP drives it. It suits DJs and bands at small events, and Studiomaster also names meeting rooms, classrooms and shopping areas.

In your setup
Run a DJ mixer or controller into one combo input and a microphone into the second, and switch between the DJ and Speech presets as the event needs. Two 12A cabinets can stream as a TWS stereo pair from a phone, or share one signal through the XLR link output. On a speaker stand, the −7.5° socket angles the sound down toward the audience; on the floor, the angled cabinet doubles as a wedge monitor with its own Monitor preset. Add a Vortex 15SA or 18SA subwoofer when the music needs deeper bass; their XLR outputs pass the signal on to the tops.
