Description
The Studiomaster EK12 is a passive 12″ two-way loudspeaker from the EK range, which Studiomaster lists among its installation speakers. A 12″ woofer works with a 44.4 mm voice-coil compression driver on an aluminium-alloy horn inside a birch-plywood cabinet, and the speaker is powered by an external amplifier. Studiomaster designed it for permanent installation as well as portable use.

In your setup
Because the EK12 has no built-in amplifier, the signal path is mixer or DJ mixer, then power amplifier, then speaker. Choose an amplifier channel that is rated for an 8 Ω load and suits the speaker's 450 W rating. In a fixed installation, the flying points let you hang the cabinet from a wall or ceiling with suitable rigging hardware; for portable jobs, it can stand on the floor or the stage. The cabinet measures 402 × 635 × 389 mm (W × H × D), which is worth checking against the space before you order.
