Description
The Wharfedale Pro TYPHON-AX12-BT is a bi-amplified 12-inch active PA speaker with Bluetooth from the TYPHON-AX series. An injection-moulded polypropylene cabinet with a full steel grille and IP54 protection against dust and moisture makes it a road-ready box for live performance, rental and installation work. Wharfedale Pro now lists it among its legacy models.

For a DJ set, the mixer's master output goes into input A or B (each takes XLR or 6.3 mm jack), and the XLR output passes the signal on to a second speaker or a powered subwoofer – Wharfedale pairs it with the T-SUB-AX. Without cables, a phone or laptop connects over Bluetooth for background music; with two BT models linked in stereo, the working range is about 10 m from the source and the speakers can stand up to 8 m apart.
Laid on the supplied wedge, the speaker turns into a stage monitor, and the 90 Hz high-pass switch reduces the bass build-up that comes from sitting on the floor. The amplifiers are convection-cooled for quiet running, and the woofer cone material rejects moisture, which helps in humid weather and at outdoor gigs.
