Description
The JBL EON715 is a 15-inch two-way powered speaker from JBL's EON700 series and the successor to the EON615. A Class-D amplifier rated 1300 W peak (650 W RMS) drives a 15-inch woofer and a 2414H-1 compression driver on a redesigned horn, giving up to 128 dB SPL and a frequency range of 45 Hz – 20 kHz (-10 dB).
The speaker has its own 3-channel digital mixer: two XLR/jack combo inputs plus Bluetooth 5.0 audio, so a DJ controller, a microphone and music from a phone can go in without a separate mixer. The dbx DSP adds automatic feedback suppression, ducking (the music drops when someone talks into the mic), parametric EQ, up to 100 ms of delay and limiters. Everything is set on the speaker's colour LCD or from the JBL Pro Connect app.
The polypropylene cabinet weighs about 17 kg and has two handles, a 36 mm pole socket and four M10 suspension points. An XLR thru output links a second speaker, and two EON715s can also play as a wireless stereo pair (True Wireless Stereo, added by a firmware update through the app).
