PreSonus Studio 68c Audio Interface: product details
A powerful, flexible production tool
Great sound quality from four of PreSonus's renowned XMAX analog mic preamps, plus professional monitoring and metering features, make the Studio 68c ideal for small-scale production work, electronic artists and bands looking to take charge of their own recordings. Two stereo outputs give you flexible output options. A powerful headphone amp with A/B switching lets you listen to either mix, ideal for live performance.
Award-winning Class A XMAX preamps
Experienced recording engineers around the world have rated PreSonus's award-winning XMAX preamps highly from day one — and for good reason. Built from high-voltage discrete components, these Class A preamps easily compete with many other remarkable studio devices. Run them at around 2 to 3 o'clock and they give you tons of headroom and just a touch of warmth. Turn them up from there and your lows get deeper, your highs get smoother, and they add a beautiful richness to the sound. You will be amazed at the results you can get with a full set of these great preamps.
Professional-grade digital resolution on tap
Speaking of headroom, thanks to the Studio 68c's high-quality converters you get an impressive 115dB of dynamic range, letting you capture every nuance and detail of your sound sources. What's more, these converters can run at resolutions up to 192kHz, taking you beyond the 96kHz of professional studio work and future-proofing your recordings for high-quality standards. In other words, whether you need ultra-high-resolution audio for sound design or simply want to capture your recordings in the finest possible detail, your Studio 68c is ready for the job.
Convenient A/B monitoring
Flexible monitoring is extremely important for high-quality studio recording and for DJ/electronic music performance, and the Studio 68c gives you what you need. PreSonus has equipped the Studio 68c with its Cue Mix A/B headphone selection. This lets you switch smoothly between two independent mixes — perfect for switching between a recording mix and the main mix, or for cueing tracks in a live DJ set.
Expanded I/O including MIDI and more
Need to hook up MIDI gear? Your PreSonus Studio 68c Audio Interface has that covered too. This recording interface lets you connect everything from a vintage keyboard controller to a modern digitally controlled guitar amp, all via a pair of 5-pin MIDI jacks provided by the included breakout cable. The cable also carries S/PDIF digital connections, letting you expand your system with extra preamps or other digital audio sources.
Whether you are upgrading your performance setup or building a custom production studio, the Studio 68c recording interface gives you clear, clean, ultra-high-quality sound and the professional tools you need for world-class results. While it makes a perfect partner for any recording software, the PreSonus Studio 68c Audio Interface and the included Studio One Artist give you a complete, affordable recording solution that helps your sound come across even better.
