Description
The JBL VM200 is a dual-channel UHF wireless microphone system built for karaoke and KTV rooms. It pairs one SR200 receiver with two HT200 handheld dynamic microphones and carries JBL's karaoke tuning, voiced to the same target curve as JBL Entertainment karaoke speakers. JBL offers it in China and the Asia-Pacific region only.
Highlights
- One SR200 receiver and two HT200 dynamic, super-cardioid handheld mics
- UHF band 640 – 690 MHz with 40 channels in 1 MHz steps
- Operating range of about 50 m
- Auto Scan finds free frequencies; the Preset Module stores channel presets that sync receiver and mics
- Auto Mute after 3 s without vocals, Auto Sleep after 8 minutes without motion, Auto Wakeup when a mic is picked up
- LCD on the receiver and on each mic showing status and battery level
Forty channels let several VM200 systems run in neighbouring rooms without stepping on each other, which is why JBL aims it at small to mid-sized KTV venues. The receiver's 6.35 mm unbalanced output plugs into a karaoke amplifier, the line input of a mixer or a powered speaker; the receiver runs on 12 V DC.
Beyond karaoke, the same pair of mics covers hosting, toasts and announcements at parties or small events, plugged into the mixer next to the DJ. Auto Mute keeps idle mics from picking up the room between turns, and Auto Sleep saves battery when a mic is left on the table.
