XDJ-RR, XDJ-RX3 or XDJ-AZ: which all-in-one to choose? (2026)
Torn between the XDJ-RR, the XDJ-RX3 and the XDJ-AZ? All three are all-in-one DJ systems — decks and mixer in one unit that plays a rekordbox USB without a laptop. They differ in channels, screen, connections and price. In one line each: the XDJ-RR is the light, affordable one for practising at home; the XDJ-RX3 is a 2-channel unit that handles both practice and gigs; the XDJ-AZ is a 4-channel system for DJs who play events regularly. XDJ-RR: who it is for
The XDJ-RR borrows its design from Pioneer DJ's NXS2 club line: EQ and fader curves from the DJM-900NXS2 mixer and dedicated Hot Cue, Beat Loop, Slip Loop and Beat Jump buttons. At 5.2 kg it is easy to carry and fits an ordinary desk.
Good for: beginners who want to practise at home on a club-style layout, prepare music in rekordbox and spend the least of the three. It records your mix straight to USB, handy for listening back and spotting what to fix.
Keep in mind: a smaller screen, fewer effects, one mic input and no separate booth output — fine for a house party, less convenient where the booth has its own monitor. XDJ-RX3: who it is for
Pioneer DJ says the XDJ-RX3 takes features straight from the CDJ-3000 and the DJM-900NXS2 mixer — the gear you meet in a lot of club booths. The 10.1-inch touchscreen makes finding tracks quick, Phrase Display shows what is coming, and the booth output plus two mic inputs cover a wedding or a company party with an MC.
Good for: anyone who wants one unit for the long run — daily practice and paid gigs — and is working towards club CDJs. As a Hardware Unlock device that also supports Serato DJ Pro, it doubles as a controller for your laptop.

XDJ-AZ: who it is for
The XDJ-AZ is a 4-channel system. AlphaTheta designed its 206 mm jog wheels to feel like the CDJ-3000's and laid out the mixer like the DJM-A9. It plays from USB, a laptop, the rekordbox cloud or streaming services, and has Wi-Fi, LAN and a SonicLink transmitter for low-latency wireless headphones. Two LINE/PHONO inputs take turntables or samplers.
Good for: DJs who gig often, play open-format sets across several decks, or go back-to-back — the two top-loading USB ports make handovers smooth.
Keep in mind: it is almost 90 cm wide and weighs 13.5 kg, so measure your table first. It is the most expensive of the three and only worth it if you will really use four channels and the network features. Full details: XDJ-AZ in our store.
Buy, rent or practise by the hour?
Rates from the practice room page, the rental page and the store on 27 October 2026:
- Practise by the hour: XDJ-RX3 room 250,000 VND per hour for 1–2 people, plus 50,000 VND per extra person; open 9:00–21:00 every day at 409 Hai Ba Trung St., Xuan Hoa Ward (old District 3), Ho Chi Minh City — rear entrance.
- Rent by the day for an event: XDJ-RX3 1,200,000 VND per day; the XDJ-RR comes in our party sound packages (quote on request). The XDJ-AZ is not on the rental list at the moment.
- Buy: genuine units with the manufacturer's warranty, replaced within 7 days for a manufacturing fault; free pick-up at the school or delivery anywhere in Vietnam.
A quick sum: one XDJ-RX3 costs about the same as 246 hours in the RX3 practice room, or about 51 days of rental. If you practise a few hours a week and are not sure DJing will stick — or you are only in Saigon for a few months — practising by the hour is far cheaper. If you gig regularly and practise almost daily, buying makes sense. For a one-off event, DJ equipment rental by the day is enough.
Our advice: before you buy, book a few hours in the XDJ-RX3 room (or the XDJ-XZ room, same rate) and bring your own USB. Prices change, so check the product page for today's figure. If you are not ready to buy, you can practise on an RX3 for 250,000 VND per hour or rent one for 1,200,000 VND a day.
Clubs usually have CDJs and a DJM mixer already, so you would rarely bring an XDJ-RR. Its value is that you practise the layout and the rekordbox preparation: the USB you use at home plays on the club's CDJs too, as long as it is formatted FAT32. For small parties and cafés the RR does the job well.
Rent or practise by the hour first. A few sessions on the XDJ-RX3 in a practice room show whether you will really use a unit often and whether you need two channels or four. Buy once you practise almost daily or have regular gigs; at that point rental costs soon add up to more than the unit itself.
The XDJ-AZ has four channels instead of two, 206 mm jog wheels, a mixer laid out like the DJM-A9, plus Wi-Fi, LAN, streaming and two LINE/PHONO inputs for turntables. In return it is bigger and heavier (13.5 kg against 9.3 kg) and, at Muse Inc store prices on 27 October 2026, about 43.6 million VND more.
