Description
The Studiomaster Digilive 8C is an ultra-compact digital mixer with eight analogue inputs, run from its own panel or from a web browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. Six mic/line channels and a stereo line input pass through a 40-bit floating-point SHARC DSP, and a USB media player and recorder are built in. It suits small bands, presenters, DJs who add a microphone, and installed sound in bars or meeting rooms.
Highlights
- 6 mic/line combo inputs with up to 60 dB gain and switchable +48 V phantom, plus a stereo line input (jack or 3.5 mm)
- 4-band parametric EQ with high-pass filter, gate and compressor on the mic channels
- Two reverbs and two delays on dedicated effects buses
- 31-band graphic EQ on the main L/R outputs
- Browser control over Wi-Fi (external module) or RJ45 LAN, cross-platform
- USB 2.0: MP3/WAV playback, stereo WAV recording of the main mix, scene storage
Mixing from a tablet lets you walk the room and set levels where the audience stands, while the three rotary encoders on the unit keep the whole mix within reach if the Wi-Fi fails. Two aux outputs build separate monitor mixes, two footswitch jacks switch the effects, and scenes store a complete setup for the next show. Basic mode simplifies the screens, and Lock mode leaves only faders and media playback for guest operators.
At 350 x 90 x 180 mm and 2 kg it fits a small case or a shelf behind the bar. Power comes from an external supply (90–240 V, 50/60 Hz, 12 V DC output), and the console keeps its settings when switched off.
