Description

The Studiomaster Digilive 16 is a compact digital mixer that pairs a 7-inch touchscreen with nine motorised 100 mm faders. It takes 12 microphones and two stereo line sources and mixes them on 16 internal busses, for bands, venues and events that want recallable scenes in a 5 kg desk.

Highlights

  • 12 mic inputs (8 XLR, 4 XLR/jack combo) and 2 stereo line inputs, one with a parallel 3.5 mm jack
  • 16 internal busses feeding 8 balanced XLR outputs: main L/R plus 6 assignable smart outputs
  • 7″ 1024 × 600 touchscreen with encoders, and 8 + 1 motorised 100 mm faders that follow scene recall
  • 4-band fully parametric EQ (20 Hz – 20 kHz), gate and compressor on every channel
  • Up to 8 assignable effect modules covering delay, reverb, modulation and a 31-band graphic EQ with RTA
  • 40-bit floating-point SHARC DSP, 48 kHz sample rate, AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital I/O

In your setup

Two USB ports handle playback and recording, scene storage and system updates; the recorder can take its signal from any smart output, so you can capture the main mix or a dedicated feed. The six assignable XLR outputs can serve stage monitors, a sub feed or a second zone, while the separate stereo monitor and headphone jacks serve the operator. Layer buttons switch the faders between channel groups, and solo, mute and select buttons sit on every strip. Remote mixing from an iPad works over Wi-Fi, but Studiomaster notes that networking needs a separate Wi-Fi module. Power comes from a 90–240 V supply with a 24 V DC output.
