Description

The Studiomaster C6XS-16 is the 16-input model of the C6 series with the extra XS features: a 16-programme DSP effects unit and USB stereo recording and playback. It has 10 mic channels and 4 stereo channels in a lightweight moulded chassis, aimed at live sound and simple recording at home or in a project studio.

Highlights

  • 10 mic channels, each with a built-in adjustable compressor, and selectable +48 V phantom power
  • 3-band EQ with a swept mid (500 Hz – 2.7 kHz) on mic channels, 2-band EQ on stereo channels, 100 Hz low cut
  • Four aux/monitor sends (AUX 1–3 plus the DSP send) with pre/post switching, and two stereo subgroups
  • 16 DSP programmes, from halls and plates to delays, chorus, flanger and vocal echo, with footswitch on/off
  • USB stereo recording and playback, plus an RCA 2-track input and record output
  • PFL and channel on switches on every channel, headphone and monitor outputs

In your setup

Interval or backing music comes in through the 2-track RCA input or over USB, and the RCA record output feeds a recorder without depending on the main fader. Two stereo returns take outboard effects or extra line sources. Four aux sends are enough for separate stage monitor mixes, and the two stereo subgroups let you gather a group of channels, say drums or backing vocals, onto one fader pair before the main mix. The mixer runs on 100–240 V and draws 35 W.
