Description
The PreSonus StudioLive AR12C is a compact studio mixer packed with modern features. Its high resolution gives you precise, efficient control over your whole sound, helping you create high-quality mixes.
1. StudioLive AR12C mixer design
The StudioLive AR12C has a classic design reminiscent of the mixers of the previous decade. The controls are neatly and logically laid out, so they are easy to use and quickly become familiar.
The mixer is quite compact, making it easy to take with you, which suits working on the move across different studios.
2. Easy recording with Studio One Artist DAW
The StudioLive AR12C is tightly integrated with PreSonus® Capture®, the live recording software included with Studio One. Capture automatically detects and configures itself to work with the mixer right away, saving you considerable time and effort.
You can record every individual channel (14 input channels) as well as the main mix with a single click, which is very useful for later editing and processing.
The StudioLive AR12C also offers a powerful, flexible recording interface: record high-quality multitrack audio to a computer over USB-C, or record the main mix straight to an SD card.
Over USB-C, the mixer provides 14x4 channels at 24-bit/96 kHz resolution. The SD card interface is 2x2 and supports SD and SDHC cards up to 32 GB.
3. Zero-latency effects
The PreSonus StudioLive AR12C lets you monitor with reverb and delay thanks to its built-in effects processor, making it easy to create professional studio mixes while keeping performers more comfortable.
You can also record the main mix and capture the effects mix, with the option of adding the dry channels, to mix together with your multitrack recording. That way you can adjust the effects freely during post-production.
4. Connectivity and control
The StudioLive AR12C has all the connections you need for mixing, recording and processing sound, including mic, instrument and line inputs, and more.
14 analogue channels: 8 balanced mic inputs, 2 instrument inputs, 12 balanced line-level inputs and 2 inserts. The mic inputs use XMAX mic preamps that boost the mic signal without degrading sound quality.
The handy Stereo Super Channel adds Bluetooth 5.0 wireless streaming, an RCA input, an AUX input and an SD/USB slot, so you can connect a wide range of other audio devices and play back audio files from an SD card or USB drive.
The mixer's control panel is intuitive, making it easy to adjust volume, EQ, effects and other parameters.
Every channel has a three-band EQ, letting you adjust the lows, mids and highs to suit each sound source.
