Try Being a DJ This Summer

Summer is a great time for young people to do something worthwhile, build new skills and discover new passions. In this post, Muse Inc suggests one of the most fun and challenging things you can try this summer: spending a day as a DJ.
1. Why you should try DJing this summer
It's not just entertainment — DJing is also an art form that brings a whole range of benefits:
- Develops your musical skills: DJing trains your ear for music, your sense of rhythm and your creative thinking.
- Helps you discover a new passion: The experience can reveal your potential and your love of music, and help you shape your future.
- Fun and relaxing: DJing is an enjoyable hobby that helps you unwind and really enjoy music.
- Grows your network: Joining the DJ community lets you meet people who share your passion, swap experiences and make new connections.
These benefits are exactly why you should give DJing a try this summer.
2. How can you spend a day as a DJ?
- Take a short DJ course: A short course gives you the basics, which you can build on if you fall in love with the art. Muse Inc offers a range of DJ courses to suit every need, such as a 1-month Basic DJ Course and a 3-month Comprehensive DJ Course.
- Sign up for a workshop: Workshops are usually shorter than courses, but they're packed with DJ knowledge, because they often feature famous DJs with years of experience who share their own tips — the kind not everyone is willing to share.

- Learn to DJ at home: If you have the passion and the determination, you can teach yourself to DJ at home. There are plenty of free DJ tutorials available online, as well as video lessons on YouTube. You can also buy DJ software and basic DJ equipment to practise at home. If you want to go deeper or need a clear learning path, you can sign up for online DJ lessons with Muse Inc's instructors.

Whichever way you choose to spend a day as a DJ, remember that what matters most is passion and persistence. DJing takes time and practice to master. Practise regularly and keep learning new things to become a great DJ.
