Rewarding Summer Activities for Kids: Ideas for Parents

The summer holidays give children much more time to play and relax, and with it comes the worry that they'll spend more of it on their parents' phones and tablets. In this post, Muse Inc shares a few activities parents can consider for their kids this summer.
1. Sign up for a new class
You read that right: give your child a new experience with an unusual subject. Just make sure it's something that helps them develop in a well-rounded way and that they genuinely enjoy, rather than cramming or forcing them to learn something they don't want to.

Parents might consider letting their child learn to DJ – it brings plenty of great benefits. What's more, to celebrate International Children's Day, Muse Inc is giving away a video of your child's end-of-course performance when you sign up for the DJ Kid course this summer, as a keepsake that shows off their talent (offer valid from 1 June 2024 to 30 June 2024).
2. Extracurricular activities, trips and outings
As the Vietnamese saying goes, “Travel a day, gain a basketful of wisdom.” Give your child plenty of experiences through trips: even a few days away helps them learn lots of new things and make memories of their own.

3. Play sports
Sport brings children lots of benefits: it helps them grow taller, lowers the risk of obesity, supports their physical and mental health and helps them develop in a well-rounded way. This summer, set aside a regular time for your child to play sports with the family or in a group – it's a chance for them to make new friends, grow in confidence and become more disciplined.

4. Family activities
Besides sports, parents can also do everyday things together with their kids, like gardening, cooking, going to the supermarket or cycling… Did you know that doing things together brings the family closer? Your child also gets to try lots of different activities and build up their life skills along the way.

Another idea: if you have the chance, take your child to visit their grandparents in the countryside or somewhere relaxing, and play simple games together. Along the way, tell them stories from your own childhood so they can understand what your life was like – that's even better for them.

We hope Muse Inc has shared some useful ideas to help you choose the right activities for your child this summer.
