1. About DJ Hoàng Phong

Starting his career around 1999–2000, DJ Hoàng Phong was one of the pioneers of Vietnamese EDM, a genre that was still quite new at the time. Overcoming the difficulties, his talent quickly brought him success and a place in the DJ community and in the hearts of music lovers.

Over his career he has built up an impressive list of venues, playing bars, clubs and events big and small all over the country. He has also worked on shows at X9 Bar, Domino Bar, No.1 Bar, Fullmoon Techno Party, Elisa Floating Restaurant, Rooftop Party, Pool Party and more.

Beyond his talent and success, DJ Hoàng Phong is known for his sense of humour, his friendliness and his wholehearted support for young people who dream of becoming DJs.

2. DJ Hoàng Phong as a DJ instructor

Recently, Muse Inc had the chance to work with DJ Hoàng Phong, and we are honoured that he accepted our invitation to teach DJing at Muse Academy.

Chatting with Muse Inc, he happily explained why he became a DJ instructor: “I wanted the chance to pass on my experience and spend time with enthusiastic young people, so I can feel young again and learn new things from them too. At the same time, I see that DJs today get so much help from technology that most of them overuse it and ‘miss’ the essential basics of DJing. So I want the chance to remind them and pass on that experience and knowledge, so they have a more solid ‘base’. Later, when they combine it with new technology, they’ll have more opportunities to grow and go further and faster than earlier generations of DJs. Muse Academy was a lucky chance that let me do that.”

Finally, DJ Hoàng Phong has a few words for young people who love DJing: “I hope young DJs will always keep their passion and keep up with new technology, but never skip the basics, because they are the foundation that lets you grow more solidly in the future.”

While teaching at Muse Academy, DJ Hoàng Phong has won the affection of his students and everyone around him with his dedication and enthusiasm, always wanting to pass on the very best to support the new generation of DJs. Muse Inc is deeply grateful and wishes DJ Hoàng Phong every success in shaping many more talented DJs.
