DJ Workshop: Outside the Box – Meet DJs from the Netherlands
Part of the series of events marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands, Muse Inc is proud to partner with the Kingdom of the Netherlands to host the DJ Workshop OUTSIDE THE BOX. For those still wondering, this DJ workshop features well-known DJs from the Netherlands – a country that is the cradle of world-famous electronic and EDM DJs.
The DJs taking part in the workshop are DJ Grimix and DJ Jay Junior, with DJ ling:chi as host. Having three such well-known DJs together is a chance for the DJ community and everyone passionate about DJing in Vietnam to meet and learn from some of the world's top DJs.
DJ Workshop OUTSIDE THE BOX is also a cultural exchange between Europe and Asia, and it opens up opportunities for young Vietnamese DJs to reach an international level. The workshop opens the door for young music lovers and anyone interested in a DJ career to talk and swap ideas with professional DJs. Participants can also ask questions and get answers straight from these DJs, to take away lessons and ideas for developing their own musical path.

About DJ Grimix
Grimix is a DJ and music producer from Amsterdam, known as the capital of music. Young as he is, he has already played many “legendary” events: Ushuaïa Ibiza, EDC Mexico, Medusa Festival Valencia, Garden of Madness at the Sportpaleis and many more. Positive energy and getting everyone dancing happily to his music are DJ Grimix's top priorities. Grimix has produced alongside big names such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (he signed to their label, ‘Smash The House’), Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Timmy Trumpet, Quintino, David Guetta, R3hab and many others. Grimix may be young and just starting out in the industry, but one thing is certain: the world is his to conquer. The DJ from Amsterdam is ready for the global stage
About DJ ling:chi
Born and raised in Hanoi, ling:chi began her creative journey in photography and graphic design. She moved to Saigon in 2019 and soon became known as a full-time DJ, playing at all the well-known clubs in the city. Here's a fun fact! The name ling:chi comes from the lingzhi mushroom, known as the mushroom of life that helps people grow stronger.
Her set shows off her signature performance style: from slow to fast rhythms, from gentle to intense, with plenty of emotion in the music. “I also want to play 3 tracks by artists in Vietnam: ‘Be Like This’ by CHICHA22 and Kim Chi Sun by CHARLES.; ‘173 Hoàng Hoa Thám’ by Trà Đá Connection (a track with a Buddhist chant) and an ID by Humb & Dani. Each of these is a different genre, so I built a structure that lets me play all three. The opening is the folk, multi-ethnic melodies I've always been drawn to, which feel like travelling around the world. Next come dance-floor sounds, as if I'm walking into a club at night. The set ends with a gentle sunrise moment of breakbeat and UK garage.”
